The talent relationship manager feature in Shortlist helps you direct information about talent activities to the appropriate member of your team. Directing notifications to the best team member increases efficiency and helps build strong connections with your external talent.

Understanding relationship manager roles

Relationship managers receive email notifications when the external talent they manage take the following actions:

  • Complete registration
  • Sign a new agreementĀ
  • Upload a new document
  • Have an expired document
  • Upload a payment request/invoice
  • Send a private message

It is important to note that the relationship manager must have permission to access and take action on the talent's activities. Learn more about user roles & permissions here.

Understanding how to assign relationship managers

Assigning relationship managers is easy as soon as you understand the check box system.

When you assign relationship managers for one talent, you will get a pop up window that looks like this:

Simply put:

  • A check in the box means the team member will be set as a relationship manager for this talent.
  • No check in the box means the team member will not be set as a relationship manager for this talent.

When you assign relationship managers for more than one talent, you might get a pop up window that looks more like this:

This takes a little more thought:

  • A check in the box means the team member is set as a relationship manager for all selected talent. (In this example, only Julie Moy is set as a relationship manager for all the selected talent).
  • No check in the box means the team member is not set as a relationship manager for any of the selected talent. (In this example, Dylan Duimovich & Janet Johnson are not relationship managers for any of the talent).
  • A minus sign in the box means the team member is set as a relationship manager for some of the selected talent, but not all of them. (In this example, Rose Booth and Sam Smith are already relationship managers for some, but not all of the selected talent).

From here, you can edit the check boxes to reflect your preferences.
