Sometimes, when looking at a document uploaded by a talent, you'll see the status "obsolete." This article will quickly explain why this happens.



Causes for the Obsolete Status


Obsolete status shows when a document is deleted by the talent from their Profile -> Requested Document section after it has been uploaded in an Onboarding Workflow.


Also the Obsolete status will show if there is a NEWER document uploaded somewhere ; for example on Partner's Profile.


Example:

Imagine that there is a Job Opening that uses a Workflow to gather certain Requested Documents. The talent goes through the workflow and uploads the Document.


After some time, the same talent goes through another Job Opening that uses the same Workflow. During the new Job Opening, the user uploads another version of that Requested Document. The original Requested Document in the Job Opening will have the OBSOLETE status- as there is a NEWER document for the same request somewhere in the system.


What to do


If the talent has uploaded a new version, it will show under the talent's profile > Document tab, if not, the talent will have to upload a new document.
