You've completed your onboarding in Worksuite — congratulations! Finishing onboarding is an important milestone, but we know it can feel like a cliffhanger. What happens now? Do you need to do anything else? When do tasks or projects show up?
This article walks you through exactly what to expect after your onboarding is complete.
Worksuite is the platform that manages your contract, profile, and payments. Your client — the company you've been hired to work with — controls when you're assigned tasks and when you start active work. If you're waiting on an assignment, the right contact is your client, not Worksuite Support.Step 1: Your Onboarding Is Reviewed
After you complete all your onboarding steps, your submissions go to your client for review. Depending on the client and the onboarding workflow they've set up, this review can take anywhere from a few hours to a few business days.
Note: You don't need to contact Worksuite Support to "check if your onboarding is complete." If your profile is fully submitted, the review is underway automatically. You'll receive a notification when it's confirmed.Step 2: Your Contract Goes Live
Once your onboarding is confirmed, your client might activate a contract in Worksuite. You may receive a notification to review and sign your contract (if you haven't already done so during onboarding). Once the contract is Live, the work relationship is officially active.
You can check your contract status any time by navigating to the Contracts section in your Worksuite dashboard.
Step 3: Tasks and Projects Are Assigned by Your Client
Task assignments come from your client — not from Worksuite. Once your profile is active and your contract is live, your client will assign you to projects and tasks through the platform. You'll receive a notification when a task is ready for you.
If you've completed onboarding and your contract is live but you haven't received any tasks yet, the next step is to contact your client directly to ask about assignment timing.
Worksuite doesn't assign work or determine when you'll receive your first task — that's entirely up to your client. Check the Messages tab in your profile to reach out to your client if needed. What Your Worksuite Dashboard Looks Like When You're Ready
Once everything is set up, here's what an active, work-ready Worksuite profile might looks like:
- Profile status: Active
- Contract status: Live
- Payment method: Saved and verified
- Tax information: Submitted (W-9 or W-8BEN, if applicable)
- Tasks section: Will populate once your client assigns work to you
Frequently Asked Questions
I completed onboarding — should I take the skills tests?
Skills tests and assessments are managed by your client, not Worksuite. If your client has asked you to complete assessments, they'll provide instructions directly. If you're unsure, message your client through Worksuite's Messages tab.
I finished onboarding but my status still shows "Waiting for Confirmation"
This is normal and means your submissions are under review. If it's been more than 5 business days and your status hasn't changed, reach out to Worksuite Support — there may be a missing document or a step that needs attention.
I see a task in my dashboard but I don't know how to start
Great — that means you've been assigned work! Check out our guide: Understanding and Managing Your Assigned Tasks for a step-by-step walkthrough of how to access and work on your tasks in Worksuite.
I completed onboarding but I don't have a task yet — when will I get one?
Task timing is up to your client. Worksuite Support can't assign or accelerate task assignments. Your best next step is to message your client through the Messages tab in your Worksuite profile, or contact them through whatever direct channel they've provided.
