Some clients require identity verification as part of the Worksuite onboarding process. When this applies to you, Worksuite uses a service called Veriff to verify your identity securely. This article explains what Veriff is, how to complete the verification, and what to do if your link has expired or isn't working.
What Is Veriff?
Veriff is a secure identity verification platform that uses your government-issued ID and a short selfie process to confirm your identity. It's a fast, automated process — most verifications take less than 5 minutes.
Your identity verification link is unique to you and sent directly from Worksuite. It is not shared with third parties beyond what's required for the verification process.
Not all clients require identity verification. If you haven't received an Veriff link, it means your client hasn't enabled this step for your onboarding. You don't need to request one.What You'll Need
- A valid government-issued photo ID (passport, national ID card, or driver's license)
- A device with a working camera (smartphone is ideal)
- Good lighting in the space where you're completing the verification
How to Complete Your Identity Verification
- Open the verification link from the Worksuite email you received. The link will open the Veriff verification interface in your browser.
- Select your ID type — choose the type of government-issued document you'll be using.
- Photograph the front and back of your ID — follow the on-screen guides to capture a clear, readable image. Make sure all four corners are visible and there's no glare.
- Complete the selfie step — Veriff will ask you to take a short selfie or follow a face movement prompt to confirm you're a real person.
- Submit — once all steps are complete, Veriff processes the verification automatically. You'll see a confirmation screen when it's done.
- Return to Worksuite — your verification result will be reflected in your onboarding status within a short time. You'll receive a notification once it's confirmed.
Note: Veriff works best on a smartphone browser. If you're on a desktop, make sure your webcam is enabled and your browser has permission to access it. Chrome or Safari are recommended.My Veriff Link Has Expired — How Do I Get a New One?
Veriff verification links are time-limited for security reasons. If your link has expired before you could complete the verification, you'll need to request a new one from Worksuite Support.
To request a new link:
- Contact Worksuite Support using the Support button in your Worksuite dashboard, or email support@worksuite.com.
- In your message, include your full name and the email address associated with your Worksuite account.
- Request a new Veriff verification link and mention that your previous link expired.
Once issued, complete the verification as soon as possible — links are valid for a limited time.
Verification links cannot be reused. Each link is unique to your account and can only be used once. If you started the process but didn't finish, you'll need a fresh link to try again.Troubleshooting Common Issues
The verification page won't load
Try opening the link in a different browser (Chrome or Safari work best). Clear your browser cache, or try on a different device. Make sure you have a stable internet connection before starting.
The camera isn't working during verification
Check that your browser has permission to access your camera. On mobile, go to your phone's Settings → Browser → Camera permissions and make sure access is allowed. On desktop, check your browser's site permissions.
My verification was rejected
Verifications can be rejected if the ID image is blurry, partially cut off, or if the selfie doesn't match. Common fixes:
- Use a well-lit area with no shadows on your ID or face
- Ensure all four corners of your ID are visible in the frame
- Remove glasses or hats for the selfie step if prompted
If your verification keeps failing after multiple attempts, contact Worksuite Support for assistance.
I completed Veriff but my onboarding still shows as incomplete
There may be a short delay before the verification result updates in Worksuite (usually under 30 minutes). If your status hasn't updated after a few hours, contact Worksuite Support so we can check the verification result on our end.
